Very nice place to spend a 1/2 day. Many animals can be seen. There is a train that will allow you to visit all the wild/free animal's areas.
One of the finest zoo/wildlife parks I have ever seen, and this includes my home state of Alaska. Not just a place to view animals, it's a spot where visitors can truly appreciate the efforts of conservation, and practice their own form of stewardship at home. GREAT cafeteria location. Fabulous service. I highly recommend this facility, listed as one of the top 10 zoos in the world!
Cool place, the animals exist free and the humans are caged. The best way to see the animals run free in their natural habitat and also be amazed by the massive bears. Great place for kids.
Beautiful place were you get to see animals in their natural habitat. They aren't free in the wild but I've never seen animals as happy as if they were. Incredible staff!
We always enjoy the Zoo. I grew up doing the family trip to the Zoo. When my Dad moved back to the area we make it an annual trip which includes taking my kids to the Zoo. We enjoy the spring/ winter Zoo. Last year the weather in March was -5 quite mild and comfortable. This year more like -25 really cold. I don't recommend the train ride when it's that cold out unless you are dress to skidoo. In milder temps the train is great. The animals are more active in the cooler weather then they are in the heat. They are playful.
